Dr. Swiencicki has been in private practice specializing in general infectious diseases since 2007 in Buffalo, New York. He is affiliated with Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare network in Western New York and performs inpatient consultations at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in addition to maintaining a busy office practice. Dr. Swiencicki obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center and then his infectious disease fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Swiencicki is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) in addition to an active member of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA). His professional special interests include Clostridium difficile infection, skin and skin structure infections, new antimicrobial therapies, and antimicrobial stewardship.
