Erin Testerman Mitra, RN, BSN, CWOCN

Erin started her nursing career in the Burn Center at Johns Hopkins Bayview where her love for hands-on, advanced wound care ignited. She has worked over ten years with the Colorectal department at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she integrated inpatient and outpatient WOC Nurse services for the benefit of patient care. Erin is completing her Masters' degree at The Columbia School of Nursing, educates as a clinical nursing instructor, is on the Symposium on Advance Wound Care (SAWC) 2024 Spring Conference Planning Committee faculty, volunteers with the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society (WOCN) National Member Engagement Taskforce and just completed four years of board leadership with the Metro NY WOCN Affiliate.
Erin was recently interviewed by the WOCN Society's podcast, "WOC Talk", to discuss her role in continent ileostomy practice and is active in social media collaboration and presentations to promote positive ostomy awareness and methods to enhance quality of life.
