Ann Marie Nie recently graduated with her PhD and completed her research on Risk Factors for the development of pediatric pressure injuries." She moved back to her home state of Ohio a year ago and currently works at Dayton Children's Hospital as a Family Nurse Practitioner treating all ages of pediatric patietns with wound, continency and ostomy diagnosis. She leads the pressure injury prevention program and is creating a robust pediatric PI prevention program. She is published in the area of pressure injury prevention in pediatrics and has spoken nationally and internationally on the subject. Ann Marie is a board member on the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel and is the current chair of the Education Committee. Her current research pursuits include a predictive pediatric pressure injury assessment score and nursing education of a pressure injury prevention mneomonic.
