There are numerous pathways available for providers to pursue a career in wound care. The option selected will depend on a number of factors. These include, prior exerience, career trajectory, time committment, ability to relocate, and a preference for the potential site of care, i.e. inpatient, clinic, SNF etc. Another consideration is whether you want to dive in full time, or create a transitional plan for your new career. One thing has become clear however, wound care is a complex field that requires no less training, dedication, passion or time commitment in order to be succesful. This session will allow the attendee to 1. Gain exposure to the breadth and scope of the wound care field 2. Learn how to create a plan to begin a career in wound care 3. Appreciate the current and future technologies, treatment options and opportunities that are available in the wound care field.
